By aggregating crowdsourced price data, integrating online store feeds, and applying advanced data analytics, Nyajjomullo aims to bridge the price gap and foster transparency in pricing ecosystems. We utilized technologies such as Python, Flutter, Material UI, Azure to create a unified, intelligent platform that provides transparent, real-time, and location-based price information, enabling users to make smarter and fairer market decisions while reducing the price disparity across regions.
The app is created with large data in mind and to be scalable over time to handle huge number of price inputs along with historical comparison data. End-to-end encryption is used to protect communications and operational processes and ensured advanced data security using Azure cloud storage. Outlier detection method is applied to filter out price inputs that significantly deviate from the majority of the data in order to get realistic market price data from crowd inputs.
